Common questions

Can I try FirePilot for free?
Yes. Tap Continue as guest (no account needed), or sign in with Apple, and you can explore every screen and feature with a sample household. When you're ready to track your own money, tap Go Pro to start FirePilot Pro with a 7-day free trial. Your own account is kept separate from the sample data.

How do I add my accounts?
With FirePilot Pro, tap + on the Home tab and choose Connect your bank: you sign in to your bank through Plaid, and FirePilot never sees your password. Balances and transactions then update automatically; pull down on Home to refresh. You can also add any account, asset or debt by hand, or import a CSV from your bank.

How do I disconnect a bank?
Settings ▸ Connected banks, swipe left on the bank. Its accounts and history stay as manual accounts.

What is the financial health score?
A score from 0 to 100 that FirePilot calculates from your own numbers: emergency fund, savings rate, debt, credit, retirement savings and net worth growth. Tap it on Home to see each part and how to improve it. It's a guide, not a credit score.

Why doesn't the AI advisor work?
It uses Apple Intelligence, which needs an iPhone 15 Pro or newer (or an iPad with Apple silicon) and Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings ▸ Apple Intelligence & Siri.

Is the advice professional advice?
No. It's educational. Confirm decisions about taxes, investments, debt or selling a home with a licensed financial advisor and a tax professional.

How do I cancel FirePilot Pro?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings app ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions ▸ FirePilot. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of a period to avoid the next charge.

The free plan shows every screen and feature with a sample household, with or without signing in. Tracking your own money needs FirePilot Pro, $9 a month after a 7-day free trial. Your own account is kept separate from the sample data.

How do I restore a purchase?
In FirePilot, Settings ▸ FirePilot Pro ▸ Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID.

How do I delete my account?
Settings (person icon on Home) ▸ your name ▸ Delete account. Everything is permanently deleted from our servers.
